On July 2, 2026, the German Federal Government announced a reform package under its “Program for Growth and Employment,” which is expected to bring significant changes to German employment law. The proposed reforms cover a wide range of topics, from dismissal protection and fixed-term employment to sick leave, mini-jobs, and co-determination. In addition, changes relating to working time and working time recording, as well as pay transparency legislation, are also under discussion.
Ulrike Conradi and Andre Appel will assess the key reform proposals from an employer’s perspective and explain their potential practical implications. Participants will receive a concise overview of the developments that should be monitored in the short term, prepared for internally, and factored into strategic HR and management planning.
